Talmi Mentors Story
Hello, I’m Kelvin Kariuki, and I’m the founder of Talmi Mentors. Let me tell you my story:
I once had a dream of making my book, the Talmi Biology book, available to people all around the world as a web app. But there was a problem – I didn’t have the technical skills or the money to make it happen. So, I decided to learn some simple programming languages to get started, even though I didn’t have any previous programming experience. It was a tough journey.
One day, I was invited to a tech event organized by Microsoft at Moi University library. That’s where I met Duncan, who was an expert in WordPress. He was really nice and had a great sense of humor. I told him about my idea and the difficulties I was facing while trying to learn. Duncan kindly invited me to his place to give me a more detailed guidance on how to use WordPress to bring my idea to life.
That experience made me realize that there are many people out there who are looking for guidance and mentorship but can’t find someone to help them on their journey. That’s when I came up with the idea of Talmi Mentors.
We’ve established a mentorship community where aspiring individuals can engage with seasoned experts deeply involved in practical, real-world projects. Through this mentorship, learners have the opportunity to acquire firsthand knowledge and skills from these experienced professionals within their specific fields. Our experts serve as mentors, offering guidance on applying newfound knowledge to real-life scenarios and assisting learners in tackling real-world challenges
